Bhiwani (Haryana) [India], September 30 (ANI): Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MP Raghav Chadha on Monday expressed confidence about his party's performance in the upcoming Haryana Assembly elections, saying that the people of the state will give AAP enough MLAs to ensure no government can be formed without them.
He also said that if AAP comes to power in Haryana, it will fulfil Kejriwal's 5 guarantees, which include free electricity, education, healthcare, giving Rs 1,000 to every woman and ensuring employment for every unemployed person.
Speaking to reporters in Bhiwani, Chadha said, "This time, the people of Haryana will give AAP enough MLAs to ensure no government can be formed without them in Haryana. The key to the government will be with AAP and Arvind Kejriwal. And if the key is with us, we will ensure that Kejriwal's 5 guarantees - free electricity, education, health, putting an equal amount of Rs 1000 in every woman's pocket and giving employment to every unemployed person - will fulfil these 5 guarantees."
"People of Haryana play the game of 'Congress or BJP' and 'BJP or Congress' every election. Now political parties and the people of Haryana are tired of this. There is now a new option - Aam Aadmi Party. Choose that and see. People of Delhi chose that once, people of Punjab chose that once. Now, people of Delhi and Punjab say "I love you Kejriwal" in every election and press the broom," he added.
Haryana will go to the polls on October 5 to elect its 90-member state legislative assembly, with counting set to take place on October 8. In the 2019 elections, the BJP emerged as the single-largest party, securing 40 seats, while Congress won 30 seats. The BJP is confident of forming the government in the state for third term. (ANI)
