"I would like to extend my greetings to the people of Assam and the entire country on this joyous occasion of Holi. All should live united and make a resolution to make India an empowered nation," he wrote on social media platform X.
He further said that he will file the nomination, adding, "Party workers, MLAs, MPs, CM Himanta Biswa Sarma, and the party officials of other parties that are in alliance will accompany me."
Meanwhile, on Friday, Sarbananda Sonowal said that the Bharatiya Janata Party ensured the indigenous people's legal ownership of land, which has led to securing the future of the sons of soil.
