Thiruvananthapuram (Kerala) [India], April 19 (ANI): Bharatiya Janata Party chief JP Nadda asserted that the people of Kerala have firmly committed to supporting the government led by the National Democratic Alliance (NDA).
Nadda campaigned for the BJP candidate from Thiruvananthapuram, Rajeev Chandrasekhar, on Friday. Nadda also held a massive roadshow in the state capital, accompanied by other state leaders.
"This massive turnout during the roadshow in Thiruvananthapuram is indicative of the support that the people of Kerala have extended to the BJP. The people of Kerala have firmly committed to supporting the NDA government, which ensures that development reaches every corner of the nation. Not just Kerala, the whole nation is resonating with the same thing. #PhirEkBaarModiSarkar," Nadda said in a post on X.

Addressing the supporters during his roadshow, Nadda highlighted the Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led central government's achievements.
"You will be happy to know that India is the fastest country to roll down 5G connections... We have overtaken the British, who ruled us for 200 years, to become the fifth largest economy in the world," he said.
Rajeev Chandrasekhar is contesting against incumbent MP and Congress leader Shashi Tharoor, who is seeking a third term in the seat.
The CPM-led LDF has fielded CPI leader Pannyan Raveendran from the constituency, who won it in 2005.
The BJP has never been able to win a Lok Sabha seat in Kerala. In the Assembly polls, the party won only once from Nemam in Thiruvananthapuram district, where O Rajagopal had won in 2016.
In the 2019 polls, the BJP's Kummanam Rajasekharan won 31.3 per cent votes, the highest among what the BJP got in the 20 Lok Sabha constituencies in the state.
However, Chandrasekhar's plunge into the capital fray has turned it into a triangular affair, which will be one of the most watched battles in the upcoming Lok Sabha polls, which are expected to be held in April-May this year. (ANI)
