Sirsa (Haryana) [India], September 26 (ANI): Exuding confidence that his party will emerge victorious in the Haryana assembly polls, Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) Chief and former Haryana Chief Minister, Om Prakash Chautala, said on Thursday that his government had given many facilities to the people of Haryana and they are fed up with the looting of the present government.
"The people of Haryana are fed up with the looting of the present government and they have decided to change this government and bring the INLD government. Our government had given many facilities to the people," Chautala said.
"Under the "Sarkar Aapke Dwar" program, we used to visit villages and inquire about people's problems, helping to resolve them. We have also witnessed the time when our government used to provide financial aid to poor countries around the world. Today, the Indian government is burdened with debts amounting to millions of crores. One should ask, what is the debt for, when there are no teachers in schools, no doctors in hospitals, inflation is rising, and there are no buyers for the farmers' produce?" the INLD Chief added.
Earlier on September 16, Indian National Lokdal (INLD) leader and Haryana MLA Abhay Singh Chautala expressed confidence that their coalition will come to power.
Notably, INLD is contesting Haryana assembly polls by forging ties with Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) and Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD).
He claimed that their coalition partners could win 20-25 seats if the election happens now. He further said that in the coming days, when sister Mayawati comes, we will garner more support in the state.
Earlier on September 13, Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) released its third list of 11 candidates for the upcoming Haryana Assembly elections.
Aditya Chautala, who recently jumped ship from the BJP to join INLD, will contest from Dabwali.
Some of the other candidates announced in the third list are Sunaina Chautala from Fatehabad, Kunal Karan Singh from Tohana, Surender Lathar from Julana, Parkash Bharti from Mulana (SC), and Daya Bhadana from Punhana.
Voting for Haryana's 90-member legislative assembly will take place on October 5, with the votes being counted on October 8. (ANI)
