"People of Bihar can see 'acchhe din' when they remember 'bure din'": JP Nadda hails Bihar's development under NDA, targets RJD's 'Jungle Raj'

Nalanda (Bihar) [India], October 30 (ANI): Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president and Union Minister JP Nadda on Thursday said the people of Bihar can see "acchhe din" when they remember the "bure din," as he took aim at Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), abd and praised the state's transformation under Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government.
Addressing an election rally in Nalanda ahead of polling for the Bihar Assembly elections, Nadda said that Bihar has moved away from the days of "Jungle Raj" and is now witnessing rapid development under consistent and stable governance.
"You (the people of Bihar) can see 'acchhe din' when you remember 'bure din'. You must have seen that 20 years ago, this same Bihar was in darkness from the '90s until 2005. This was the Bihar of 'Jungle Raj'. This was a troubled Bihar. Today, with the blessings of PM Modi and the hard work of CM Nitish Kumar, we see a transformed Bihar which is taking a leap towards development. Bihar was once called a 'Bimaru' state. Today, Bihar is preparing to be among the leading states," Nadda said.
He credited the NDA government's two decades of stable leadership for driving progress in infrastructure, connectivity, and social welfare, saying that wherever the alliance governs, development follows.
"A lot of things are said during elections. But you must have seen that wherever the NDA has come to power, development has taken place there. Wherever other parties came to power, development paused. Speaking of the last 20 years, under the leadership of CM Nitish Kumar and with the blessings of PM Modi, Bihar once again picked up pace with its progress and started walking towards development. The 6th November election is for continuing with the pace of Bihar's development," he said.
Nadda's remarks come as the NDA steps up its campaign across Bihar, highlighting governance and development as key themes ahead of polling for the Assembly elections.
The NDA will release its joint manifesto on Friday, in the presence of senior leaders.
The voting for the 243-seat Bihar Assembly will be held in two phases on November 6 and 11, whereas bye-elections for eight seats across seven states and Union Territories will be held on November 11. The results for both will be declared on November 14. (ANI)
