People in Kashmir reject Talibanization
Srinagar/Jammu (Jammu and Kashmir) [India], Nov.7 (ANI): Jammu and Kashmir possesses the unique culture and tradition coupled with a rich blend of beautiful nature. People living in the region are an epitome of peace and mutual co-existence. But, of late, some anti-national elements have been at works to disturb peace and communal harmony. A sinister attempt has been made to poison the minds of the innocent youth. Not only the educational institutions are being burned down, the youth of the Valley are being exhorted to join protests and pelt stones at security personnel. The frequent shutdown calls given by separatists have disrupted the normal life of the Valley. Tourism, a major source of revenue for the state, has been hit severely due to the ongoing crisis. The separatists are furthering the Talibanisation propaganda and are hell bent to change the entire demography and peaceful environment of the once called the land of Sufis. Former senior police officer and now defence expert M.M. Khajuria said, "The common man supports that Islam which was proposed by the saints like Lal Din. In fact, I would like to say that the people of Jammu and Kashmir are bound by the thread of humanity and brotherhood with the rest of Indians. We can clearly see this difference how India opted for secularism unlike its neighbour Pakistan which was divided on the lines of religion." The people of Kashmir have out rightly rejected the nefarious plans of Pakistani establishment to promote talibanisation in the region. The people in Kashmir do not want their children to be uneducated like the ones in Pakistan. They are demanding peaceful existence with better economic prospects and education for their children.
