People disappointed over breakdown of Grand Alliance: Sharad Yadav

Sonepur (Bihar) [India], Aug 10 (ANI): Senior Janata Dal (United) [JD-U] leader Sharad Yadav on Thursday said breakdown of the party's Grand alliance with Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) and Congress has disheartened people of Bihar. Yadav, who is on his three-day Jan Samvad Yatra, said, "We had formed the alliance with a mandate for five years, but it broke down in the midway that has disappointed lot of people." Earlier in the day, he said that the people supported the grand alliance and expected a lot from it, adding that they were hurt with its failure. "I was one of those who asked the people of Bihar to vote for the grand alliance. I consider this as a responsibility," he said. There have also been reports of a widening rift between Yadav and party leader Nitish, who severed ties from old alliance and joined hands with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to form new government in Bihar. In the three-day Jan Samvad Yatra, Yadav would be visiting Patna, Sonpur, Muzaffarpur, Darbhanga, Madhubani, Supaul, Saharsa, and Madhepura. (ANI)
