"People are ready to oust JMM-Congress govt from power": BJP leader Shivraj Singh Chouhan

Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Monday attacked Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren for allegedly not fulfilling its promises to provide 5 lakh jobs and said that the people of the state are ready to oust the JMM-Congress government from power.

Sahibganj (Jharkhand) [India], November 18 (ANI): Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Monday attacked Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren for allegedly not fulfilling its promises to provide 5 lakh jobs and said that the people of the state are ready to oust the JMM-Congress government from power.
"Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren should be ashamed as he has done nothing for the development of the state... Elections give you a chance to teach Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren a lesson," Chouhan said addressing an election rally in Sahibganj.
Attacking Hemant Soren-led government for not fulfilling its promises and said that the government had promised to provide five lakh jobs but failed to do so.
"Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren had promised five years ago that he would give 5 lakh jobs but no one got a government job... BJP and PM Modi always do what they say... People are ready to oust the JMM-Congress government from power," he added.
Earlier today, Assam Chief Minister and BJP co-in-charge for Jharkhand elections Himanta Biswa Sarma said that campaigning has been good and the people want a double-engine government in the state.
"We spent the last 4 months in Jharkhand. People are very excited for PM Modi. People want a double-engine Government. There should be development in Jharkhand and the ambitions and aspirations of the people be fulfilled - this is the major theme of the election. People are excited about that," CM Sarma said.
Today is the last day of the election campaign.
The Jharkhand Assembly election is taking place in two phases. The second phase of polls in Jharkhand will be held on November 20. The first phase of voting in 43 seats concluded on November 13.
The counting of votes will be held on November 23. (ANI)
