"People are confused": BJP MP Dilip Ghosh takes dig over postponement of INDIA bloc leaders' meeting

New Delhi [India], December 5 (ANI): With the meeting of INDIA block leaders deferred to the third week of December, Bharatiya Janata Party MP Dilip Ghosh on Tuesday took a dig at the grouping of opposition leaders and said people are confused over its decisions.
"This is their internal matter. Where is the INDIA bloc? They had tea together thrice. Nitish Kumar took up its leadership. Where is he today? He doesn't attend the meetings. Mamata Banerjee went there and saw that nothing was going to come out of it so she sent her nephew. Now, she too doesn't go and says that she doesn't know about it. People are confused," the BJP leader told ANI.
Janata Dal (United) MP Sunil Kumar Pintu accused Congress of ignoring parties with whom it intends to contest Lok Sabha polls.
"Congress is ignoring the very people on whose strength it stands in the states. Congress is standing on the strength of JD-U and RJD in Bihar, SP in Uttar Pradesh and Hemant Soren in Jharkhand and Congress is moving ahead by ignoring all of them. The result in three states went against them," he said.
"There is a complete communication gap within the INDIA block," he added.
The INDIA bloc has decided to reschedule the meeting of party leaders to the third week of December. Earlier Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge had called a meeting of the INDIA bloc leaders for Wednesday.
A coordination meeting of parliamentary party leaders of India Alliance will be held at 6 pm on December 6, at the residence of Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge.
Congress sources said several key opposition leaders will not be able to attend the meeting that was earlier scheduled on Wednesday.
Addressing the media on Monday, the West Bengal CM said that her party was unaware that the INDIA grouping is planning to hold a sitting in New Delhi.
"I don't know, I have no information so I kept a programme in North Bengal...If we had the information, we wouldn't have scheduled those programmes. We would have definitely gone (for the meeting), but we have not received any information," the TMC chief said.
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin will not be able to come to Delhi as several areas of the state have been badly hit by Cyclone Mandous.
Sources said Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren would also not have been able to make it for the Wednesday meeting. (ANI)
