"Party has decided to form five clusters of total 14 Lok Sabha seats in state," Assam BJP chief on poll preparations

After Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) chief JP Nadda held an Assam State BJP executive meeting and core committee meeting on Wednesday, state BJP president Bhabesh Kalita said that the party has decided to form five clusters by including all 14 Lok Sabha seats in Assam.

Guwahati (Assam) [India], January 11 (ANI): Assam Bharatiya Janata Party president Bhabesh Kalita has said that the party has decided to form five clusters by including all 14 Lok Sabha seats in Assam as part of its strategy for the upcoming parliamentary polls.
This was announced after BJP chief J P Nadda who had arrived in Assam on January 9 held a State BJP executive meeting and core committee meeting here on Wednesday.
The development comes amid talks being held between INDIA alliance partners to arrive at a seat-sharing agreement for the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections.
Assam state president Kalita said that ahead of the upcoming Lok Sabha polls, the state BJP has prepared a roadmap and Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and road transport and highways minister Nitin Gadkari among other top leaders will address rallies in these five clusters.
"We will finalise the schedule after January 26," Kalita said on Wednesday.
The BJP National President is on a three-day visit to Assam and Arunachal Pradesh to review the ongoing preparations for the general elections in the Northeast states.
Earlier, Nadda and Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma conducted a roadshow in Guwahati. The roadshow was held from Koinadhara to Srimanta Sankaradeva Kalakshetra, Panjabari in Guwahati.
According to a statement by BJP, Nadda will leave for Arunachal Pradesh today and a grand welcome has been planned by party leaders and senior office-bearers of the BJP at Itanagar airport. (ANI)
