New Delhi [India], Oct. 2 (ANI): The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Sunday said Pakistan's move to ban Indian television channels was indicative of their fear about being exposed in front of their own citizens. "Pakistan is a small country and is also small by heart. They cannot accept criticism. Pakistan knows that the people of their nation watches Indian movies and daily soaps, through which Pakistan is exposed. So, they have banned Indian television channels as they are scared of it," said BJP leader Shahnawaz Hussain. Another BJP leader, Shrikant Sharma, said, "If they have to ban they should ban terrorist camps and the Pakistani Army who are openly encouraging and supporting terrorism. They should understand that banning Indian channels would not solve the core purpose of the nations which is terrorism." Sharma also cautioned that the patience of people of Pakistan occupied Kashmir and Balochistan is running out and the government would need to act against the terrorists in a firm manner sooner than later. The Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) yesterday announced to ban all 'illegal' Indian channels across the nation from October 15th. The PEMRA has warned of strict action according to law after October 15 if television channels and distribution networks fail to follow its directions. (ANI)
