Pakistan's dream to annex J&K will never come true: Defence Expert
Jammu, Aug. 14 (ANI): Taking a strong exception to Pakistan High Commissioner Abdul Basit's assertion on his country's 70th Independence Day, defence expert M.M. Khajuria on Sunday said Islamabad's dream to annex the state of Jammu and Kashmir is never going to come true. "Naturally their aspiration, their plan, their hope is to annex the state of Jammu and Kashmir... Jammu and Kashmir is an integral part of India and any mischief and every mischief Pakistan does will be defeated with the help of the people of Jammu and Kashmir," Khajuria told ANI. Khajuria said that the Pakistani envoy has repeated the ridiculous phrase that Islamabad reiterates every time of providing moral and diplomatic support and instead promotes terrorism. "He has spoken out the mind of Pakistani Prime Minister, who had earlier said that he is waiting for Kashmir to become a part of Pakistan. So, their objective and matters are well known to the world and this is going to fool nobody except Pakistan itself," he added. Earlier today, Basit said Islamabad has dedicated the 70th Independence Day to the freedom of Kashmir. Basit said Pakistan has always made efforts to improve its relationship with India. "As far as the relation of Jammu and Kashmir is concerned, we dedicate this year's Independence Day to Kashmir's freedom. We are confident that the sacrifices made by the people of Jammu and Kashmir would be successful," Basit said. He asserted Pakistan has always given moral support to Jammu and Kashmir's freedom struggle and would continue to do so. "Struggle for independence will continue till Kashmir gets freedom; sacrifice of the people of Kashmir will not go in vain," he said. (ANI)
