Pakistan should focus on situation at home, not in Kashmir: JKNPP
Jammu (Jammu & Kashmir) [India], Dec. 11 (ANI): The Jammu and Kashmir National Panthers Party (JKNPP) on Sunday said ongoing protests in Pakistan, especially by the Baloch, should serve as an eye opener for the government of that country which needs to respect human rights of all. "The way people in Pakistan are protesting against their own government and particularly in Balochistan, should be an eye-opener for Pakistan. Rather than (it) poking its nose in the internal affairs of our country, particularly in Jammu and Kashmir, Pakistan may do well to solve the issues of its own people and ensure their fundamental rights," JKNPP leader Harsh Dev Singh told ANI. His statement came as Baloch activists observed International Human Rights Day across world, including the U.K., Canada, Australia, South Korea, Germany and many other European nations, by holding protests against the atrocities committed by the Pakistani establishment on their people back home. It was on December 10, 1948, when the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) adopted the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. The protesters raised the issue of genocide by the Pakistan Army in Balochistan, and sought international intervention in the region. They also raised anti-China slogans to oppose the multi-billion dollar China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). (ANI)
