Pak internal situation may have led to them to consider talking to India on Kashmir, says expert
New Delhi, Aug 16 (ANI): Defence expert Qamar Agha on Tuesday said Pakistan is under pressure and its decision to have talks on Kashmir is because of the rising tension in Balochistan and Gilgit Baltistan, as both look to India with hope. "The internal situation of Pakistan is very bad. They are not able to control Balochistan. Secondly, there is tension in Gilgit Baltistan because of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor(CPEC). Balochistan is struggling for independence and national movement are again getting stronger from there, which was earlier suppressed by the Army of Pakistan and they look upon India, it is because of that Pakistan is under pressure and will not keep quite without talking for longer time," Agha told ANI. Agha also added that Pakistan knows that its interference on the matter of Jammu and Kashmir will not be accepted by India and if they will attack again they have to bear the consequences. On Monday, Pakistan handed over a letter to India's High Commissioner Gautam Bambawale inviting the Indian Foreign Secretary S. Jaishankar for talks on Jammu and Kashmir. The invitation was extended at a time when bilateral ties between the two nations are not very good. (ANI)
