"Our govt worked to bring backward classes into mainstream": JP Nadda slams Rahul Gandhi ahead of second phase polling in Jharkhand

Dhanbad (Jharkhand) [India], November 17 (ANI): Union Health Minister JP Nadda on Sunday attacked Congress MP Rahul Gandhi and highlighted the BJP-led Centre has worked to bring Other Backward Classes (OBC) into mainstream.
Union Minister JP Nadda also said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has increased the budget for tribal communities by three times.
Addressing a public meeting here, JP Nadda said, "Mandal Commission was implemented when the BJP government was formed in the Centre. I want to ask Rahul Gandhi, how many OBCs are there in the Rajiv Gandhi Foundation...how many OBCs are there in the Congress Working Committee? I can say that 27 ministers belong to OBC in PM Modi's cabinet...Our government has worked to bring backward classes into the mainstream. PM Modi has increased the budget by 3 times for the tribal communities..."
The BJP National President further added that PM Modi increased the allocation of funds for the development of Jharkhand.
JP Nadda added, "UPA government gave only Rs 80,000 crores to Jharkhand for development. The Modi government has given Rs 3,00,000 crores to Jharkhand for development... Schemes like Ayushman Bharat, Mudra Yojana, etc. started in Jharkhand. PM Modi has always kept Jharkhand in the mainstream..."
The senior BJP leader earlier on Sunday also addressed a public rally in Bokaro's Gomia here.
The second phase of polls in Jharkhand will be held on November 20. The first phase of voting in 43 seats concluded on November 13. The counting of votes for the Jharkhand election will be held on November 23. (ANI)
