"Our government will empower women," says Madhya Pradesh CM Yadav

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav announced on Sunday that the decisions taken by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi will empower women and change the atmosphere of the entire state.

Sheopur (Madhya Pradesh) [India], August 11 (ANI): Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav affirmed on Sunday that the decisions taken by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi will empower women and change the atmosphere of the entire state.
"It is a matter of great fortune for us that sisters have come from such faraway places to tie Rakhi during Sawan... The joy of festivals celebrated with collectiveness is different. It is said that there are 12 months and 13 festivals. Raksha Bandhan is like the king of all the festivals and there is no comparison to it. Today, 1 crore 29 lakh women have gotten not just Rs 1250 under the Ladli Behna Yojana but also an addition of Rs 250. I am happy that the decision taken by our government will empower women and change the atmosphere of the entire state," said the Chief Minister during a programme organised under 'Rakshabandhan and Shravan Utsav'.
On the occasion, the CM also inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for development works worth Rs 344 crore.
Furthermore, the Chief Minister transferred over Rs 52 crores to over 25 lakh women under the Gas Cylinder Refill Scheme for providing LPG at the rate of Rs 450 during the programme. Additionally, over Rs 332 crores were transferred to more than 55 lakh beneficiaries under the Social Security Pension Scheme on the occasion.
Before joining the programme in Sheopur district, CM Yadav participated in an event of similar kind in Tikamgarh under Rakshabandhan and Shravan Utsav. During this, he distributed benefits to the beneficiaries of various schemes. Women of the self-help group also presented a huge Rakhi to CM Yadav on the occasion.
The Chief Minister also announced that soon Tikamgarh would get a medical college.
Earlier on Saturday, a group of women tied Raksha Bandhan to Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav at Gwalior Airport.
On the occasion, CM Yadav presented sweets and sarees as a return gift to women on tying Rakhi. (ANI)
