Itanagar (Arunachal Pradesh) [India], January 11 (ANI): BJP National President JP Nadda on Thursday said that the double-engine government in Arunachal Pradesh is working in a 3D manner and has empowered marginalised and deprived people and brought them into the mainstream.
Addressing a gathering in Itanagar, JP Nadda said, "The double-engine government in the state under Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Arunachal Pradesh CM Pema Khandu was working together in a 3D way."
Terming PM Modi's and CM Khandu's leadership as decisive, Nadda said that by implementing developments in building highways, developing internet facilities, railways, airports, and telecom sector, the BJP has empowered marginalised and deprived people and brought them into the mainstream.
"We are trying to bring broadband to every village. Under Viksit Bharat, the third D is doorstep delivery. Modi government has empowered marginalised and deprived people and brought them into the mainstream," said Nadda.
He said that PM Modi has changed the definition of 'last village', which is now known as 'first village.'
Kibithoo is a town in Arunachal Pradesh that is considered "India's first village." It is located in the Anjaw district, on the last road head in the extreme northeast of northeastern India. Kibithoo is said to be the point where the Lohit River enters India; the Sun's rays fall first in this village in the country.
"We have changed the fortunes of the country under PM Modi. PM Modi said that his government would be dedicated to the poor, and women. Today, we can say that villages, poor, deprived, exploited, scheduled tribes, women, youth and farmers have been brought into the mainstream and empowered. PM Modi said no poor will stay in mud houses and they will get permanent houses," he added.
JP Nadda also slammed Congress and said that Congress means 'divide and rule' and has never thought beyond politics and votes.
"Congress has always played politics with voters. They have never thought beyond politics and votes. Congress means 'divide and rule'. They do 'Rajneeti', whereas, under the leadership of PM Narendra Modi, we do 'Rashtraneeti'. Our slogan is 'Sabka Saath', 'Sabka Vikas', 'Sabka Vishwas' and 'Sabka Prayas'. We don't care who belongs to which caste and religion. We will take everyone together," he added. (ANI)
