Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh) [India], Jan 21 (ANI): Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday said that the opposition parties have been doing false propaganda on the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA).
Speaking at the support rally for the CAA, Adityanath said, "CAA is the law to give citizenship to those who faced religious persecution in Pakistan, Afghanistan and Bangladesh, but the Opposition is doing false propaganda regarding it."
"They are speaking the language of the country's enemy. So we cannot remain silent on this. People have been manipulated on this incident but lies cannot stay forever," he said.
Welcoming Union Home Minister Amit Shah on the stage and praising Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Adityanath said, "We all know that many important issues have been solved in the last six months. We have already said that "Modi Hai To Mumkin Hai" (It is possible if Modi is there). Congress and other parties could not do in so many years what Modiji has done in these six months."
"The other parties have resorted to politics, while under the leadership of Modiji and great work of Amit Shahji Article 370 was removed from Jammu and Kashmir, triple talaq was abolished, Ayodhya issue got resolved and now the CAA is passed that gives citizenship to those who faced religious persecution in Pakistan, Afghanistan and Bangladesh," he added.
