"One engine in crime, another in corruption": Tejashwi Yadav slams NDA alliance in Bihar

Yadav, who is the Leader of the Opposition in the Bihar Assembly, also accused the central investigative agencies of being misused to target opposition leaders. "One engine of theirs (NDA) is engaged in crime, and another in corruption; these people are not the ones to give any account. These people will work to hide the corruption. CBI, ED, Income Tax are made for opposition leaders, not for these people," he said.

Patna (Bihar) [India], July 25 (ANI): Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader and former Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav on Friday launched a scathing attack on the ruling NDA alliance in the state, alleging that "one engine is engaged in crime, another in corruption."
Speaking about the recent reported tussle between Deputy CM Vijay Sinha and Ashok Chaudhary in the NDA meeting, Tejashwi said, "Why did the fight between Vijay Sinha and Ashok Chaudhary happen in the NDA meeting? When ministers themselves are accusing each other, just imagine how much loot is happening in Bihar."
Taking a jibe at the Deputy CMs over the increased crime in Bihar, Tejashwi Yadav said, "Corruption has increased so much, and everyone is seeing the rampage of criminals, the criminals have become Vijay and Samrat (referring to Deputy CMs Vijay Sinha and Samrat Choudhary)."
Earlier in the day, former Bihar Chief Minister Rabri Devi, while addressing the media during the demonstration outside the Assembly on SIR, raised serious allegations against the ruling BJP-JD(U) alliance, claiming a conspiracy to assassinate RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav.
"We will definitely protest as it is about the people of Bihar... What about the 4 crore people who have gone out of the state?... We have been surrounding the Assembly for 5 days... The state government must respond... 4 attempts were made to kill Tejashwi Yadav, and his life is in danger... The BJP and JD(U) are the ones conspiring..." she said.
Responding to the allegations, Deputy CM Sinha said, "Those who think they are not safe, they should give it in writing, though they have complete security. They have the facilities of two former CMs and are still afraid. The entire Bihar is scared of their (RJD) own people... There is no need to be scared, full security will be provided by the government... Their (RJD) people speak the language of hooliganism that is taught in the school of their jungle raaj."
The Bihar Assembly elections are expected later this year, tentatively in October or November, though the ECI has yet to announce official dates. (ANI)
