Omar`s comment gives oxygen to Pakistan, sketches escape route for them: BJP
New Delhi [India], Dec. 4 (ANI): The Bharatiya Janata Party(BJP) chastised the controversial statement made by former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Omar Abdullah where he has given a clean chit to Pakistan over the turmoil in the Valley, saying his statements provided oxygen to Islamabad, which sketched an escape route for them amidst the tensions. "A politician who was a former chief minister Jammu and Kashmir, Omar Abdullah makes a statement which provides oxygen to Pakistan, which gives a escape route to Pakistan. The whole world knows that Pakistan is a terror sponsored state," BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra told ANI. Patra slammed Abdullah for giving political rhetoric as the reason for the unrest in the Valley. "He says that Nagrota attack took place because of political rhetoric. All this took place because of certain mistakes from India and Pakistan should not be blamed. This is absolutely appalling and deplorable," Patra added. However, the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) has agreed with former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Omar Abdullah view that Pakistan can't be blamed for the unrest in the Kashmir Valley. Abdullah on Saturday courted controversy as he criticised the Centre for failing to take concrete measures to curb the unrest in Kashmir post the killing of Hizbul Mujahideen militant Burhan Wani and said that it would be a "grave mistake" to always blame Pakistan and turning a blind eye to internal issues. "Simply blaming Pakistan for the present situation, then, it would mean that we don't have to do anything to prevent the unrest, which I think would be a grave mistake. We need to have talks internally, we need to solve this political crisis and until we are conscious of this reality, I don't think we can take any concrete action," Omar told reporters here. (ANI)
