New Delhi [India], Apr 21 (ANI): The Delhi Police has busted a gang of cheats who misappropriated household items by projecting themselves as a packing and moving company based at Gurugram (Haryana). On April 16, an FIR was lodged at the Malviya Nagar police station against Lalit on a complaint of Manoj Srivastva, a resident of that area. The complainant stated that he worked in NBCC (India) Ltd. and was under transfer from Delhi to Lucknow. Hence, he had made online queries from some packing and moving companies. One Vikas Sharma claiming to be an executive of 'Gati Movers and Packers' contacted him over the phone and on April 7 and visited the residence of the complainant and took all the household articles in a TATA Ace with Rs. 6000 rupees in advance. However, the delivery of the goods was not made and his phone was found to be switched off. A team headed by Inspector Ram Singh (SHO /Malviya Nagar) consisting of Sub-inspector Manoj Kumar, Sub-inspector Deepak Kumar, ASI Ved Prakash, HC Mukesh Kumar, 204/SD, Ct. Sanjeev Kumar, 3933/SD and Ct. Surender 1088/SD of police station Malviya Nagar was constituted. The team worked relentlessly to crack the case and 18-year-old Lalit Sharma was arrested yesterday and taken into police remand for one day.(ANI)
