Muzaffarpur (Bihar) [India], September 8 (ANI): Terming the Opposition bloc name INDIA as a "tactical smart move", political analyst Prashant Kishor on Friday said that if the public has faith in the leadership and activities of the INDIA alliance, they will vote there is nothing illegal.
"The opposition has named INDIA. This is an abbreviation that became INDIA. The name INDIA that has been kept by the opposition parties is a tactical smart move in the eyes of the people in which there is nothing illegal, but only if the public has faith in the leadership and activities of the INDIA alliance, they will vote," Prashant Kishor said.
He further said that when elections are contested, words are used for branding and convey your message to the public.
"When you contest elections, words are used for branding and convey your message to the public. There is nothing illegal in this. You may have your own feeling regarding ethics and morals whether it is ethically right or not. The name they have kept is a strategically smart move to call themselves INDIA," he added.
He further mentioned that naming alone does not determine anyone's victory or defeat. The people of the country are more intelligent than this.
"If the public has confidence in the narrative of INDIA, in the leadership of INDIA and in the activities of INDIA alliance, then only they will vote. No matter what I call my name, our identity will not be the same," he said.
He further added that ultimately, you will be identified by your character, and your work, which you show to the public, nothing will happen just by changing your name.
INDIA or ‘Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance’ is a group of opposition parties, including the Congress. The parties have come together to take on the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), which is led by PM Modi's Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), and prevent it from winning a third straight term at the Centre in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
The three meeting of the opposition bloc INDIA alliance has been held till now with the aim of coming up with an action plan for the next Lok Sabha Polls.
The first meeting of the joint opposition was held in Patna on June 23 and the second meeting was held in Bengaluru on July 17-18. The third meeting was held on August 31 and September 1. (ANI)
