Kolkata (West Bengal) [India], October 26 (ANI): Amid the Enforcement Directorate raids at Trinamool Congress leader JyotiPriya Mallick, the party leader Shashi Panja said that it is nothing but vendetta politics.
Shashi Panja told ANI "There is no other definition of this other than vendetta politics. Maa Durga will show them the true path. Ever since the BJP lost in West Bengal in 2021, we have seen that they have started target politics. This will continue till 2024, we are ready. TMC is not making any excuses. If you want to investigate then do it, but this investigation never ends because they have political objectives behind them. The media reaches there and shows that the ride lasted for such a long time. This is their attempt to malign the image."
TMC leader Shashi Panja further said that in 2024, the BJP's chances are very low and she also alleged that there are CBI and ED raids only in non-BJP states.
"2024 is coming, after analysis their condition is very bad all over India. Their chances of winning are very low. Why is it that CBI and ED reach only where there is a non-BJP government? Is there nothing in BJP-ruled states?" The Indian government cannot answer the country's questions, cannot answer on unemployment, inflation. Their own party is not under control, but CBI and ED are under control," she added.
Enforcement Directorate conducted searches on Thursday at the residence of state minister Jyotipriya Mallick at Salt Lake in Kolkata.
The ED searches are being conducted in connection with an alleged case of corruption in ration distribution.
Mallick is currently the minister for forest affairs and previously held the portfolio for food and supplies in the state government. (ANI)
