Murshidabad (West Bengal) [India], January 9 (ANI): West Bengal Congress president Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury on Tuesday said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath are not taking the names of those who played an important role in the Ram Temple movement with the intention of taking all the credits themselves.
Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury mentioned that the history of the Ram Temple should be narrated and due credit should be given to all those veteran leaders who took part in it.
"The history of the Ram Temple is ancient and several veterans have contributed to it. Its history should be narrated. PM Modi is not mentioning anybody's name only to boost his name. It is a very old agitation. Both of them (PM Modi and UP CM Yogi Adityanath) are taking credit for it. He cannot skip the mention of Yogi Adityanath as this event is being held in UP," Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury said.
As the country is gearing up for the grand Pran Pratishtha ceremony of the Ram Temple in Uttar Pradesh's Ayodhya, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is set to hold a meeting on Wednesday to review the ongoing preparations for the grand ceremony.
The meeting, which is set to be held at 11 am, will see the participation of key leaders, including BL Santosh, Sunil Bansal, Vinod Tawde, Tarun Chugh, Bhupendra Singh, and Dharm Pal.
The leaders will review the ongoing preparations for the mega ceremony. They will also strategize on ensuring convenience for visitors. Deliberations will be made on distributing work among the state leaders.
The 'Pran Pratishtha' ceremony of the new idol of Ram Lalla at the sanctum sanctorum of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya will take place on January 22. The event will be attended by PM Modi. (ANI)
