New Delhi [India], August 18 (ANI): Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Minister Gopal Rai said on Friday that under the Delhi Services Act, there will be two officials above the Chief Minister. The Minister said that such a model is not found in the model of any country in the world.
Speaking to ANI on the Delhi Services Act, Minister Gopal Rai said, "...Under the leadership of PM Modi, the new model has been experimented in Delhi where there will be two officials above the Chief Minister. This is not found in the model of any country in the world...This is unfortunate not just for Delhi but for the entire country... Delhi will never forgive this..."
Earlier in the day, AAP Minister Saurabh Bharadwaj on Friday accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLAs of making the Speaker agree to their demands "at gunpoint".
"You cannot make the Speaker agree to what you are saying at gunpoint. The Speaker said he will give them a chance to speak," Saurabh Bharadwaj said.
Saurabh Bharadwaj further claimed that the BJP MLAs had misbehaved with their "Dalit Speaker" earlier and that the AAP will not tolerate such behaviour.
"They misbehaved with our Dalit Speaker earlier also and today they did the same. We will not tolerate this...," the AAP Minister said asking why the BJP is not agreeing to a discussion on the Dwarka Expressway "scam".
"...Why is the BJP running away from the discussion on the alleged scam in the construction of the Dwarka Expressway?" he asked.
Saurabh Bharadwaj further claimed that the BJP has come down to such an extent that Manipur "does not matter to them".
"The BJP has come down to such an extent that their MLA said that Manipur does not matter to them. The BJP has alienated those crores of Indian living in the north-east...," the AAP Minister said.
Earlier on Thursday, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said that over 100 people have died in the incidents of violence in the state while accusing Prime Minister Narendra Modi of being 'silent'.
CM Kejriwal said, "BJP MLAs in Delhi are clearly saying that they don't have anything to do with Manipur. It's not just BJP MLAs, but all the governments from top to bottom, and their leader, PM Modi, are giving this message that they have nothing to do with the Manipur issue."
Kejriwal was speaking in the Assembly on the Manipur issue, and said, "PM Modi continues to remain silent on the situation in the state. 6,500 FIRs have been filed and over 150 killed, but PM remained silent." (ANI)
