New Delhi [India], Feb. 7 (ANI): Responding to the shocking theft of his Nobel Citation and replica of the Nobel Peace Prize, Kailash Satyarthi on Tuesday assured that a police probe has been initiated and called on those responsible for the burglary to understand the awards 'significance' and not its 'monetary value'. In a shocking incident, early this morning, the Nobel Citation was stolen from Peace Laureate Satyarthi's house located in the DDA Flats colony, Aravali Apartments, Kalkaji. His Nobel Citation and replica of the Nobel Peace Prize were stolen along with many gifts and awards received from various international organisations and heads of states. Amongst other valuable items, electronics and ancestral jewellery are also reported missing. "My Nobel Prize belongs to my country and its children. I appeal to the conscience of the people involved to understand its significance and not get distracted by its monetary value. A police probe has been initiated and I have complete faith in the authorities and the legal bodies of our country," the Nobel Prize Laureate said. A First Information Report (FIR) has been lodged at Kalkaji Police Station. Satyarthi had dedicated his Nobel Peace Prize medal to the nation on receiving it in 2014.
