No unity, only contradictions in Samajwadi Party, says mocking Congress
New Delhi [India], Oct. 27 (ANI): The Congress party on Thursday said there is no unity in the ruling Samajwadi Party, and only contradictions exist. So, therefore, it said, reconciliations between Mulayam Singh Yadav, Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav and Shivpal Yadav can be ruled out. Congress leader Meem Afzal told ANI, "If party has sacked him (Pawan Pandey) and Chief Minister is not doing so then it is of contradiction of what was said that party has united. I think that the party has broken from inside. If the party will contest for the upcoming election then I think it will form two different party. Each candidate will contest two elections, one is election and second is internal dispute. I don't think there is any scope left for reconciliation." The infighting among the Yadavs seems to be refusing to die down as Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav's aide Pawan Pandey was yesterday expelled by party's state chief Shivpal Yadav for his alleged clash with MLC Ashu Malik. Announcing the decision, sacked Cabinet member Shivpal Yadav said, "We have written a letter to Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister to sack Pawan Pandey of the Ministerial position over clash with MLC Ashu Malik." Addressing a press conference at the party headquarters in Lucknow on Tuesday, Mulayam said the family is one and the leaders are united, adding that some people are hatching conspiracies in the party. He also said that Rajya Sabha MP Amar Singh will not be removed from the party. When asked if the sacked ministers would be reinstated in the party, he replied, "I leave that to the Chief Minister to decide." (ANI)
