No respite for people as mercury rises in Telangana, Andhra Pradesh

Hyderabad [India], Apr. 1 (ANI): The MeT departments of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh on Saturday forecasted for increase in temperatures in both the states and predicted that temperature would be higher by two to three degrees than normal.

Hyderabad [India], Apr. 1 (ANI): The MeT departments of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh on Saturday forecasted for increase in temperatures in both the states and predicted that temperature would be higher by two to three degrees than normal. Telangana Met Department confirmed that the maximum temperature might reach to 40-43 degree which would be higher by 2-3 degrees than the normal one. A similar forecast of maximum temperature has been predicted by the Andhra Pradesh Met department. Earlier, the IMD had forecasted for the prevailing heat wave conditions across the country, especially in states like Rajasthan and Punjab. The department has forecasted that Delhi has not witnessed heat-wave condition but the temperature in the national capital might increase till the month of May. IMD scientist Charan Singh told ANI, "The maximum temperature in New Delhi is expected to reach 38 degree which is recorded to be higher compared to last five to six years." He further said that heat wave condition is likely to continue in states like Rajasthan, Gujarat, west Madhya Pradesh for next three to four days. "We can witness heat wave in Rajasthan Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh for next two to three days and it has already spread in South Haryana and South Uttar Pradesh," he said. "Most parts of India will come under heat wave temperature by mid of May," Singh added. Mercury has been settling in higher 40°C over almost every place in Rajasthan. (ANI)
