"No org apart from RSS, few others tried to connect with Tribals": Kiren Rijiju

"Except for the Sangh family and a few other organisations, there is no organisation that genuinely tried to connect tribals in this country. It is said that the tribals should come into the mainstream. I don't understand what the mainstream is because Sanatan includes diverse cultures and is united with them all," Rijiju said while addressing the gathering at an event in Delhi.

New Delhi [India], August 31 (ANI): Union Parliamentary and Minority Affairs Minister Kiran Rijiju on Sunday unveiled the Birsa Munda statue at Bhagwan Birsa Munda Bhavan in the national capital, and stated that no organisation, apart from the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and a few others, have tried to connect with "Tribals" in the country.
"Except for the Sangh family and a few other organisations, there is no organisation that genuinely tried to connect tribals in this country. It is said that the tribals should come into the mainstream. I don't understand what the mainstream is because Sanatan includes diverse cultures and is united with them all," Rijiju said while addressing the gathering at an event here.
Union Minister Manohar Lal Khattar and RSS leader Dattatreya Hosabale were also present on the occasion.
Later, while talking to reporters, Rijiju expressed his views on the country's GDP growth and said, "The spectacular GDP growth in this quarter has proved that no one can manage the economy better than PM Modi. Everyone in the world is saying that PM Modi is running the Indian economy in the best way."
Earlier, Rijiju addressed the advocates' association on 'Parliamentary System in the Largest Democracy in the World', where he noted that if the leader of a party is not interested in any debate except creating a "political drama", it is a "loss" of members of the Parliament.
He said that the Union government will "push through" the bills.
Rijiju said, "I tell the younger member of parliament that when your leader tells you to create disruption in the House, you should resist and tell them that you have come to Parliament to speak for the people who have voted... If the leader of the party is not interested in any debate or discussion except creating a ruckus and political drama, it is a loss of members of the parliament. It is not a problem for the government. It is in the majority, and the government will push through its bills. But the loss is for the opposition MPs."
He also referred to the recently concluded monsoon session of Parliament.
"During the monsoon session, over the course of three weeks, I repeatedly urged the opposition parties to join the discussion. Ultimately, we had to force our majority and pass the bills in the parliament." (ANI)
