"No matter how hard Modi, Yogi try, BJP will be wiped out in Delhi": AAP's Sanjay Singh

Aam Aadmi Party MP Sanjay Singh came out heavily at the Bharatiya Janata Party, saying that no matter how hard Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath try, the BJP will be "wiped out" in the upcoming Delhi assembly elections.

New Delhi [India], January 24 (ANI): Aam Aadmi Party MP Sanjay Singh came out heavily at the Bharatiya Janata Party, saying that no matter how hard Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath try, the BJP will be "wiped out" in the upcoming Delhi assembly elections.
Speaking to ANI, Sanjay Singh said, "No matter how hard UP CM Yogi Adityanath, PM Modi try or they could even call US President Donald Trump to campaign, BJP will be wiped out in the Delhi elections."
AAP MP Sanjay Singh questioned the Election Commission's ability to ensure fair elections, saying if it can't stop BJP candidates from distributing goods in the New Delhi assembly constituency, how can it ensure fair elections across the country.
"Sometimes the BJP candidate distributes 'chadar', 'lota', 'chashma', shoes and money openly. The office of the Election Commission of India is in the New Delhi assembly constituency. When the Election Commission of India is not able to stop the discrepancies (happening in the New Delhi assembly constituency) how will it ensure fair elections in the nation?," the AAP leader said.
Reacting to the removal of Arvind Kejriwal's Punjab Police security, the Rajya Sabha MP accused the Delhi Police of "forcefully removing" the security cover. He also criticised the Election Commission for its 'inaction'.
"Delhi police forcefully removed the security being provided by Punjab Police (to Arvind Kejriwal) and in the area, various goons are carrying sticks and rods. The Election Commission of India should look into it and we are complaining to the Election Commission of India but they are not doing anything about it," he said.
Earlier on Thursday, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath lashed out at Arvind Kejriwal over the pollution in Yamuna. CM Yogi stated that he along with his state cabinet took a dip in the Sangam in Prayagraj earlier in the week and threw up a similar challenge to Kejriwal for Yamuna.
The UP CM also accused Kejriwal of enabling the provision of Aadhaar cards to Bangladeshi infiltrators through machines in the homes of AAP leaders. Highlighting the "piles of garbage" on Delhi streets, he drew a parallel between the roads of Noida and Delhi.
Meanwhile, AAP Chief Arvind Kejriwal, on Thursday, alleged that some people of the opposition candidate entered his public meeting in Hari Nagar and attacked his car.
"Today in Hari Nagar, the police allowed the opposition candidate's men to enter my public meeting and then attacked my car. All this is happening on Amit Shah's orders. Amit Shah has made the Delhi Police the personal army of the BJP," Kejriwal said on X.
Kejriwal also raised concerns over the Election Commission's inaction regarding the repeated attacks on him.
"Big questions are being raised on the Election Commission that the national president of a national party and its leaders are being constantly attacked and the Election Commission is unable to take any effective action," Kejriwal added in the post.

On Thursday, Congress leader Sandeep Dikshit has alleged that both Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has been distributing money and complaints have been registered to Election Commission but no action has been taken yet.
The Delhi Assembly elections will take place in a single phase on February 5, and the counting of votes is set for February 8. A total of 699 candidates are competing for the 70 assembly seats in Delhi.
The Congress, which was in power for 15 consecutive years in Delhi, has suffered setbacks in the last two assembly elections and has failed to win any seats. In contrast, the AAP dominated the 2015 and 2020 assembly elections by winning 67 and 62 seats, respectively, out of a total of 70 seats, while the BJP got only three and eight seats in these elections.
