New Delhi [India], Apr. 5 (ANI): The government on Wednesday said there is no input to suggest that the Islamic State (IS) terror group has established its base in India. Replying to a question in the Rajya Sabha, Minister of State for Home Affairs, Hansraj Gangaram Ahir, however, said, some individuals influenced by the group's ideology mainly through social media have come to the notice of Central and State Security Agencies. The Minister said the Islamic State (IS), Islamic State of Iraq and Levant (ISIL), Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) and Daesh have been notified as a terrorist organization under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act of 1967 by the Centre. Ahir said in order to assess the threat posed by the ISIS or ISIL and to devise a national strategy to deal with it, meetings have been held by his ministry with all the central agencies concerned and the state governments.
