New Delhi [India], April 21 (ANI): Hailing Prime Minister Narendra Modi for steaming India's growth engine and relentlessly pursuing his vision of making the country a 'Vishwa Guru' (world leader), Union Minister Piyush Goyal on Sunday said the former was taking the country to new heights while preserving its heritage and pride.
Speaking to ANI on Sunday, the Union Minister said, "This year marked the first Ram Navami celebration since the deity took His throne at the grand abode in Ayodhya. Addressing the gathering on the 'Pran Pratishtha' of the Ram Mandir, PM Modi said the country entered into a new era with the opening of the temple after centuries of wait. It was a moment to savour for us all. I feel that no force can stop us from becoming 'Viksit Bharat' (developed country) now."
"While pursuing our development goals, we have worked to preserve our proud heritage and cultural identities. Our cultural legacy, history, and distinct identities have held us together like glue for thousands of years," the Union Minister added.
On PM Modi's leadership, Goyal said, "Under the leadership of PM Modi, I am convinced that India will rule the world going forward. Today, other countries are turning to India for trade, economic relations, cultural exchange and growth. India believes in 'Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam', as we regard the world as our family. India is chasing a larger goal of leading the world."
Taking a swipe at the Opposition, he said, "While PM Modi is working to unite the country, some Opposition leaders are trying to divide us on the lines of caste and religion."
Earlier, Goyal said people have seen miracles happen under the leadership of PM Modi.
Speaking to ANI, the Union Minister said earlier, "Be it the opening of the Ram Temple, the 'Pran Pratistha' of Ram Lalla, the abrogation of Articles 370 & 35A in Jammu and Kashmir, reservation of a third of seats in the Lok Sabha and state legislative assemblies for women (under women's quota Bill), a law banning Triple Talaq, or giving citizenship to the persecuted minorities (from Pakistan, Bangladesh and Afghanistan) under the CAA (Citizenship Amendment Act), people have seen the impossible being made possible under the leadership of PM Modi."
"PM Modi is working 24x7, 7 days a week, to make India a developed nation by 2047. The country now has come to believe that 'Modi ki guarantee matlab guarantee puri hone ki guarantee' (PM Modi's guarantees come with the guarantee of fulfilment of all guarantees)," he said. (ANI)
