Nitish standing in two boats, must decide soon on Tejashwi: Ram Vilas Paswan
Bihar [India], July 18 (ANI): Accusing Nitish Kumar of having both his feet planted in two boats conveniently, Lok Janshakti Party leader Ram Vilas Paswan has called on Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar to take a decision on the fate of Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav who is facing corruption charges. Asserting that Nitish was known for his oscillating stands on matters, Paswan put the onus on the Chief Minister to end the row surrounding Tejashwi, who is the son of RJD Supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav, a longtime ally of the former. "The condition in Bihar is pretty bad and no officer is listening to the authorities. Why did they even give an ultimatum of four days, when they didn't have to do anything at all," he said. "There will be a disadvantage for Nitish ji, if he does not take a right decision at the right time," Paswan added. The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has registered a corruption case against Lalu, his wife Rabri Devi, son Tejashwi; former Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) Managing Director P.K. Goyal; and the wife of Lalu's confidante Prem Chand Gupta, Sujata on allegations of awarding the tender for development, maintenance and operation of hotels in Ranchi and Puri in 2006. The CBI later questioned Rabri Devi and Tejashwi. Lalu had earlier made it clear that his son Tejashwi Yadav, who is facing corruption charges, will not resign as Bihar Deputy Chief Minister. Meanwhile, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has stressed that Tejashwi has only two options now- tender resignation or get sacked. (ANI)
