NIA files charge sheet against five for killing RSS member
Bengaluru (Karnataka) [India], Apr 21 (ANI): The Hyderabad branch of National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Friday filed charge sheet against five men accused of killing an RSS member. Consequent to the orders from the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, the NIA re-registered against unknown accused persons for killing Rudresh, an RSS member in uniform by hacking him from the right side of his neck with a sharp machete. The five accused are identified as Irfan Pasha, 32 years, Waseem Ahmed, 32 years, Mohammad Sadiq 35 years, Mohammed Mujeeb Ulla, 46 years, Asim Sheriff, 40 years, have been charged under sections 302 and sections 161(a), 18, 20 of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act. Investigation reveals that all the five accused are members of Popular Front of India (PFI) and its affiliated political organization i.e. the Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI). However, none of the accused had personal enmity with the deceased Rudresh, and he was killed solely because of his leadership and membership to a particular organisation. Investigation by the NIA has established that accused and others had conspiracy meetings prior to the terrorist act near Aksa Masjid, and near Chota Charminar in Bengaluru in the month of September 2016 and it was decided to kill at least two RSS workers in uniform soon after their procession, Patha sanchalan. Investigation has disclosed that the indoctrination of the members was done in order to make them believe that they were doing their act as part of fulfilling the objective of establishing Islam and Jihad by killing a Kafir (Member of RSS who is an Idol worshipper). An FIR has been registered and further investigation is underway. (ANI)
