Hyderabad (Telangana) [India], November 28 (ANI): Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday on the last day of campaigning in Telangana, said that neither PM Narendra Modi will compromise with him nor he will as it is the "fight of the ideology".
Today is the last day of campaigning in poll-bound Telangana which will vote on November 30.
"I fight the hatred in the heart of Narendra Modi. There are 24 cases against me. There are cases everywhere in Assam, Gujarat, Bihar, and Maharashtra. For the first time, I was sentenced to 2 years for defamation. After that, my Lok Sabha membership was cancelled. They took away my government house. I don't want your house, take it! My home is in the hearts of the crores of the people of India. Neither Narendra Modi will compromise with me nor will I compromise with him. It's a battle of ideology that my family has been fighting for years," Rahul Gandhi said.
He further said that his aim is to eliminate hatred from the country and for that PM Modi will have to be defeated.
"They (BRS) work for damaging Congress and supporting BJP in Maharashtra, Assam, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Goa. If we want to defeat PM Modi in Delhi then we need to first defeat KCR in Telangana. First of all, my aim is to eliminate hatred from this country and spread love and for that, Narendra Modi will have to be defeated in Delhi," Rahul Gandhi said.
He also slammed CM KCR and said that the College in which you (KCR) must have studied was built by the Congress party.
"KCR ji, the college in which you must have studied was built by the Congress Party. The roads on which you walk were built by Congress. When you go out by flight, that airport was also built by the Congress party and the Hyderabad from which you loot was also made IT city by the Congress party," he added.
The Congress leader pressed on the Congress' six guarantees in Telangana.
"We have given 6 guarantees. First of all, we will give Rs 2500 every month to the bank account of every woman. Gas cylinders will cost Rs 500 instead of Rs 1200. Women will not have to pay for bus tickets in the entire Telangana. Rytha Bharosa Scheme-Congress party will give Rs 15000 per acre to every farmer and Rs 12000 to every labourer. Free electricity will be provided to farmers for 24 hours. In the Indiramma Indlu Scheme, the Congress Party will give Rs 5 lakh to those who do not have a house to build one. In the Grahajyoti Scheme- 200 units of electricity will be free and 24-hour electricity will be available," he added.
" Under the Youth Development Scheme, Telangana International School in every division will be built, government schools will be better than private ones. In the fourth scheme, Rs 4000 will be given to senior citizens and every elderly widow every month in their bank accounts," Rahul Gandhi said.
In the last Assembly elections in 2018, the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), previously known as Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS), won 88 of the 119 seats, hogging 47.4 per cent of the total vote share.
The Congress came in a distant second with just 19 seats, while the BJP drew a blank. (ANI)
