Need more 'transparency' on Jaya's health status, can't rely on Apollo: Expelled AIADMK MP Sasikala Pushpa
New Delhi [India], Dec. 5 (ANI): Alleging a conspiracy behind the 'custody' of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister whose health remains to be critical, expelled AIADMK MP Sasikala Pushpa on Monday asserted that the bulletins released by Apollo Hospitals cannot be blindly trusted and demanded Prime Minister Narendra Modi's intervention for a 'transparent' method. Speaking to ANI here, Pushpa stated that Jaya should be placed directly under the Centre's care as the public was largely uninformed about her health and was solely relying on the statements made by the Hospital. "Why are even ministers not being allowed to meet her? Amit Shah, Rahul Gandhi all went to see but they were not allowed to see her. There has been no transparency since September 22nd when she was admitted. We are simply believing Apollo. Public wants to know if she is dead or alive," she added. Asserting that the Chief Minister could be under some 'unconstitutional authority', Pushpa called on the Prime Minister to intervene and 'save her'. She also thanked Prime Minister Modi for the Centre's involving in the matter as the government top brass was in constant coordination with the state government. Meanwhile, releasing a fresh update on the health status of Jayalalithaa, the Apollo Hospital on announced that she condition was 'very critical', adding that she has been put on Extracoporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO) and other life support systems. "The Honourable Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu who suffered a cardiac arrest yesterday evening, continues to be very critical and is on ECMO and other life-support systems. The Honourable Chief Minister is being treated and closely monitored by a team of experts," the hospital said in a statement. Union Minister Venkaiah Naidu spoke to the Governor and state Chief Secretary P. Rama Mohana Rao enquiring about her health and will also fly down to Chennai to assess the situation. Also, the special team of doctors from the All India Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Delhi reached Chennai. (ANI)
