NCPCR issues notice to Priyanka Gandhi over video showing children abusing PM Modi

New Delhi [India], May 2 (ANI): The National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) on Thursday issued a notice to Congress general secretary for Uttar Pradesh East, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, regarding a video in which children "are being actively involved in election campaigning" and can be seen "shouting slogans, using derogatory remarks and using abusive language" in her presence.

New Delhi [India], May 2 (ANI): The National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) on Thursday issued a notice to Congress general secretary for Uttar Pradesh East, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, regarding a video in which children "are being actively involved in election campaigning" and can be seen "shouting slogans, using derogatory remarks and using abusive language" in her presence.
In its letter, NCPCR stated that it has apprised the Election Commission about the complaint and for purpose of inquiry into any violation of child rights, it seeks information on "(a) Name and address of these children; (b) place where this sloganeering had taken place; and (c) how the children were brought there."
NCPCR has provided three days time to Priyanka to file her reply.
The Commission had on Wednesday written to the Election Commission regarding the video in which children were seen using abusive language for Prime Minister Narendra Modi before Priyanka Gandhi. (ANI)
