Shopian (Jammu and Kashmir) [India], September 17 (ANI): Ahead of the first phase of polling in the Union Territory, BJP election in-charge for Jammu and Kashmir Assembly elections, Ram Madhav said that a big change is expected in the upcoming polls and the National Conference, Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Democratic Party and Congress would be voted out of power by the people.
Ram Madhav further said, "J-K has to be free from terrorism and parivarvaad. Also, tourism and development need to be strengthened. This is our agenda. BJP has a lot of support from people earlier and now as well. In Jammu, BJP already has the support. Even in Kashmir, our 20 candidates are fighting the polls. There is trust in candidates among the voters. In Shopian 5000 people were present at the rally. People of Kashmir are coming to listen to the BJP. Here a big change would be noticed. The three families NC, PDP and Congress who are trying to gather support will be voted out of power by the people."
He hit out at the alliance between the National Conference and Congress and said that these people have promoted radicalism, and fundamentalism in the state and by coming together they want to spread these kinds of ideas.
Madhav further said, "These people have promoted radicalism, and fundamentalism in the state and by coming together they want to spread these kinds of ideas. The public of Kashmir should be careful of these kinds of forces. There was a time when people of J&K were not accepting BJP but today the situation is completely different. We are hopeful of opening our account in Shopian and candidates of BJP will emerge victorious. People of this Union Territory will not support the Gupkar alliance and dynastic-based politics. NC will face a debacle due to its alliance with Congress."
Earlier, Union Home Minister Amit Shah at an election rally in Kishtwar on Sunday said, "The upcoming elections are between two forces. On one hand, you have the BJP that walks on the ideals of Pandit Prem Nath Dogra and Dr Syama Prasad Mookerjee. It's clear to us that J&K was and will always be an integral part of India. When we fought against the idea of '2 Vidhaan and 2 Pradhan' for the country, the Congress Party, under the leadership of Nehru, opposed our campaign. Farooq Ji used to say that even if Modi Ji becomes Prime Minister 10 times, he cannot remove Article 370. Mehbooba ji used to say that if Article 370 is removed, there will be bloodshed. But our Prime Minister Narendra Modi removed Article 370 and established one flag, one leader and one constitution in the country."
Congress and the National Conference have formed an alliance for the Assembly polls. Assembly polls will be held in Jammu and Kashmir in three phases on September 18, September 25 and November 1. Votes will be counted on October 8. (ANI)
