Raipur (Chhattisgarh) [India], July 24 (ANI): Chhattisgarh Congress state in-charge Sachin Pilot launched an attack against the Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai-led state government, stating that Naxal attacks have increased significantly in the seven months since the government was formed.
"It has been only seven months since the formation of the Chhattisgarh state government. The numbers show that the law and order situation in the state has collapsed: Naxal attacks have increased, murders are happening, firings are happening, and rapes and kidnappings are all happening. The government has not taken any effective steps to address this. When people do not feel safe, it is our duty to express their troubles," said Sachin Pilot.
He further stated that while crime occurs everywhere, the government, police, and administration must ensure stringent action against anti-social elements."
"Since we are in opposition, it is our duty to ask questions of the Home Minister and the Chief Minister. What have you done till now? Crime can happen anywhere, but it is the duty of the government, police, and administration to build trust among the people and take action against the culprits," said Pilot.
Pilot also slammed the center led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the Union budget 2024-25, saying that the word "farmer" was missing in the budget presented on Tuesday.
He added, "The government's ignorance towards farmers has now become public. Despite forming the government, they have only made false promises to keep their allies happy. I am happy that our party talked about making MSP law in its manifesto, and we will raise this issue inside the House and also on the streets under the leadership of Rahul Gandhi."
Meanwhile, Chhattisgarh CM Vishnu Deo Sai appreciated the budget and called it "historic."
"India is an agricultural country, so this budget gives special attention to agriculture and employment. It is important for Chhattisgarh that this budget allocated Rs 1.52 lakh crore to agriculture and allied sectors. It will transform the agricultural sector. There have been provisions to provide Rs 5,000 during the apprenticeship to the youth. This budget aims to project India as a developed nation by 2047," said the Chief Minister. (ANI)
