Navjot Kaur speaking to ANI on Wednesday

Amritsar (Punjab) [India], March 13 (ANI): Hours after Union Minister Harsimrat Kaur Badal called Congress leader Navjot Singh Sidhu a 'Pakistani agent', latter's wife Navjot Kaur said that the Punjab Minister doesn't t want to take credit for Kartarpur.
Speaking to ANI, she said, "We Sikhs believe it was the wish of Guru Nanak Ji and prayers of Sikhs that this corridor opened. We don’t want to use our name or take credit for the opening of the corridor. If they want to take the credit (for Kartarpur corridor) then they should tell us how many times they visited Pakistan for this purpose. They should feel ashamed."
She also said that Sidhu has represented India in cricket matches for long, while adding that nationalism doesn't need any proof.
Kaur also launched a scathing attack on the Badal family and said, "I think they are goons, the Badal family is the one most responsible for destroying the Sikh community. They did nothing for the Sikh community. They are corrupt and they even used the funds which came for the riot victims of 1984 on drugs and elections."
She also advocated for peace talks with Pakistan and said, "All countries have their own strengths. Here both countries are nuclear. We have no problem with entire Pakistan but with those who are supporting terrorists. We should try to establish peace through talks."
Calling Punjab minister Navjot Singh Sidhu a 'Pakistan agent', Union Minister Harsimrat Kaur Badal had hit out at the Congress leader for questioning the outcome of air strike conducted by the Indian Air Force (IAF) in Pakistan. (ANI)
