National Conference can play with anyone's life for chair, says Mehbooba
Srinagar (Jammu and Kashmir) [India], Dec. 6(ANI): Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti on Tuesday criticised National Conference patron Farooq Abdullah for asking the Hurriyat to unite for the cause of Kashmir, saying the opposition could play with anyone's life for the sake of chair. "The National Conference can go to a limit to get the chair. In the last four to five months, the condition of Jammu and Kashmir.a criminal content has entered in it. It proves from his statement that the National Conference was involved in violent activities taking place in the Valley for the last four-five months," she alleged. Mufti further said the conditions in Jammu and Kashmir are improving with children returning to schools and tourism picking up fast. "Farooq Abdullah has again given an order to his workers to do those activities so that the conditions in Jammu and Kashmir worsen again. Since 1947, the National Conference has been playing politics to attain the chair and even today I believe that in the statement, Farooq Abdullah has given a signal to his workers that don't let the conditions improve and worsen the conditions because they want power at any cost. The National Conference can play with anyone's life for the chair." she added. Addressing his party workers at the occasion of 111th birth anniversary of Shiekh Mohammad Abdullah, Farooq Abdullah said, "I ask these Hurriyat leaders to unite. We are standing by your side at this hour. Don't think of us as your adversaries. We are not your adversaries." "This agitation which talks about demanding the rights of the people of Kashmir, National Conference is with them on this to the extent of them talking about rights. We neither were nor are against the rights," Abdullah said. (ANI)
