Nation knows Kejriwal is lying: BJP
New Delhi [India] May 9 (ANI): Coming down heavily on Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Tuesday said the nation knows that the former is a liar, adding necessary action should be taken against him for providing wrong information to the Election Commission. "The people of India know Kejriwal is a liar. Action should be taken against him for providing wrong information to the Election Commission," Delhi BJP chief Manoj Tiwari said. Referring to suspended Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA Kapil Mishra's revelations against Kejriwal concerning the Rs. two crore row as well as the water tanker scam, Tiwari said, "Since the allegations are being made by an AAP leader, Kejriwal should resign from his post." He urged the people of Delhi to come out and protest against Kejriwal and his government's corruption. While addressing a press conference on Monday, the Delhi BJP chief said, "Whole of Delhi is absolutely shocked by today's remarks of Kapil Mishra. It's not an allegation but a statement of a witness." He further added that it is shameful that a Chief Minister took bribe from his Cabinet Minister and that the BJP will take the matter to the investigating agencies. Mishra has alleged that he saw Kejriwal taking Rs. two crore from Delhi Health Minister Satyendra Jain. "There are several allegations on money laundering and black money against Jain which are known to all. It is known to all that before holding the post of Delhi Cabinet Minister and after taking the oath, he gave a prominent position to his daughter and other relatives," he said. (ANI)
