Naqvi says Centre is ready to discuss every issuse that Oppn. raises in Parliament

New Delhi [India], July 16 (ANI): Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs, Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi on Saturday said that a number of important issues would be discussed with the Opposition at the all-party meeting convened by the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) Government ahead of the Monsoon Session of the Parliament and Presidential polls, citing the Centre is ready to any issue that the House raises.

New Delhi [India], July 16 (ANI): Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs, Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi on Saturday said that a number of important issues would be discussed with the Opposition at the all-party meeting convened by the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) Government ahead of the Monsoon Session of the Parliament and Presidential polls, citing the Centre is ready to any issue that the House raises. "We will discuss various issues which will be raised in the Parliament in the upcoming Monsoon session. Number of important bills will be presented in the Parliament; we will discuss about that too," Naqvi told ANI. He said that the Centre is ready to hold discussions on all issues which can be raised by the Opposition in the Parliament as per the law. "We just want the Parliament to function smoothly. As per the rule, we will hold discussion on the demands of the Opposition," he said. Meanwhile, the all-party meeting to seek the Opposition's support for the smooth conduct of proceedings in both the Houses has begun in Delhi and as per reports, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is also expected to be in attendance very soon. Leaders of the NDA government will meet in the evening to chalk out their strategy to counter the Opposition in Parliament. It is also expected that the Bharatiya Janata Party ( BJP) will discuss the name of its Vice-Presidential nominee during their Parliamentary party executive meeting in the evening. Meanwhile, Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan has also called for a meeting of leaders of political parties at the Parliament later in the evening to ensure a smooth transaction of business in the House. The Monsoon Session of Parliament will start from Monday and will continue till August 11. (ANI)
