Naqvi offers 'chadar' on behalf of PM Modi at Ajmer Dargah

Ajmer (Rajasthan), [India], March 6 (ANI): Union Minister for Minority Affairs Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi on Wednesday offered a 'chadar' at Ajmer Sharif Dargah on the occasion of 807th Urs on behalf of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Ajmer (Rajasthan), [India], March 6 (ANI): Union Minister for Minority Affairs Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi on Wednesday offered a 'chadar' at Ajmer Sharif Dargah on the occasion of 807th Urs on behalf of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. 
"Today offered 'Chadar' on behalf of PM Shri @narendramodi at dargah of Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti on 807th Urs at Ajmer Sharif. Also read out message of the Prime Minister in which he conveyed greetings & best wishes to followers of Khwaja Sahab in India & abroad on the occasion," he tweeted.
"While on one hand, PM Modi believes in legacy of Sufi Saints to protect human values and justice, on the other hand he is a "nationalistic warrior" against terrorism. Shri Modi has adopted "zero tolerance" policy against terrorism," he further wrote.
In a series of follow-up tweets, Naqvi also highlighted that India is in safe hands as there will be no compromise on national security under Prime Minister Modi's leadership.  
On March 2, a 10-member delegation led by Naqvi and comprising prominent people from the Muslim community had met Prime Minister Modi at his residence to invite him to visit the Ajmer Sharif Dargah on the occasion of 'Urs'.
During the meeting, several issues related to the community and the current situation in the country were discussed.
At the meeting, the Prime Minister handed over a 'chadar' to be offered at Ajmer Sharif Dargah on the occasion of 807th Urs. (ANI)
