Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh) [India], October 9 (ANI): Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Monday extended his gratitude towards the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)'s central leadership for the release of the fourth lists of 57 candidates for the state assembly poll.
After the announcement of the assembly elections date on Monday, the BJP released its fourth list of candidates for the Madhya Pradesh assembly polls with Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan to contest again from his traditional seat of Budhni.
The list of 57 candidates includes the names of 24 state cabinet ministers, inlcuding CM in which a some prominent name are Narottam Mishra, Pradhuman Singh Tomar, Bhupendra Singh, Govind Singh Rajput, Gopal Bhargava, Rajendra Shukla, Prabhuram Choudhary, Vishwas Sarang, Tulsi Ram Silavat, Mohan Yadav, Hardeep Singh Dang and Omprakash Sakhlecha
CM Chouhan said, "Another list of Bharatiya Janata Party has been released. I am grateful to the central leadership. The names declared in the list are in accordance with the recommendations sent by the state. Now out of our total 230 candidates, 136 have been declared and the rest of the list will also come soon."
Chouhan further took a jibe at the Congress party and asked where Congress's list was.
"Where is the Congress's list? Now the election date has also been announced but the Congress list is known. Our candidates are on the ground, preparations of the BJP are going on, but there is infighting in Congress," Chouhan said.
He further said, "We along with our workers have entered the election battle ground under the guidance of the central leadership. We will work with our workers and will definitely form the BJP government here."
On the other hand, reacting to the BJP's candidate list Congress leader Randeep Surjewala took a dig at CM Chouhan saying he (Chouhan) and his cabinet minister were going to be defeated in the upcoming polls.
"Shivraj Singh Chouhan will lose from the Budhni constituency and his entire cabinet minister will lose in the forthcoming assembly polls," Surjewala said.
Talking about the assembly polls date announcement, the congress leader said that the BJP would face a crushing defeat in all the five states.
"Bharatiya Janata Party will face a crushing defeat in all five states. BJP is about to be wiped out and that is why BJP leaders are sometimes panicking, sometimes getting nervous, and sometimes making excuses. The situation in Madhya Pradesh is very clear, the pot of BJP's sins is full and 8.5 crores people of Madhya Pradesh have prepared to break the pot of BJP's sins," he said.
Making a direct attack on CM Chouhan, the congress leader claimed that the chief minister himself was a tired and retired leader and the party and central leadership rejected him (Chouhan).
"Shivraj Singh Chauhan himself is a tired and retired leader. The BJP, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah have completely rejected CM Chouhan. They (BJP) have no face, no intentions, no policies and that is why sometimes they are calling the Union Ministers," he added.
Madhya Pradesh is ready against the 18 years of corruption of BJP rule, against future youth being sold, against atrocities on farmers, against oppression of Dalits and tribal people and against malpractices against women. Madhya Pradesh will wipe out BJP with vote power and now Madhya Pradesh has faith in the guarantees of both Congress and Kamal Nath, the congress leader added. (ANI)
