Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], October 28 (ANI): Shiv Sena (UBT) spokesperson Anand Dubey on Monday said that the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) will cross 170 to 180 seats easily and form the government in Maharashtra.
He said that the decision on remaining 19 to 20 seats for the upcoming assembly elections will be taken latest by tonight.
He said that the people are with the MVA and the alliance will cross 170 to 180 seats to form the government.

"We feel that Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) will cross 170-180 easily and the government will be formed under the leadership of MVA. We will resolve the seat-sharing soon," Dubey said.
Dubey said that there are a lot of issues when one contests elections in an alliance. The formula earlier was that the parties in alliance (NCP SP, Congress and Shiv Sena-UBT) will contest on 85 seats each and leave the rest for other allies, he said while adding that the number was increased to 90 seats each.
"When we contest under an alliance, a lot of compulsions occur. A lot of things have to be tolerated, two steps have to be taken back. Earlier, our formula was 85-85-85, we then tried to bring it up to 90-90-90 and set aside rest of the seats for allies," the Shiv Sena (UBT) leader said.
Dubey further informed that Congress has announced its candidates on 99 assembly seats, followed by Shiv Sena (UBT) on 85 seats and NCP SP on 83 seats. The decision on the pending 19 to 20 seats will be taken by tonight since tomorrow is the last day to file nominations, he said.
"Congress has announced candidates on 99 seats, we have announced candidates on 85 seats and NCP-SCP has announced candidates on 83 seats. So, now the remaining 19-20 seats will be done by late night today as tomorrow is the last date to file nominations. We have to start campaigning," said Dubey.
Taking a dig at the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led Mahayuti in Maharashtra, the Shiv Sena (UBT) spokesperson said that they have major ongoing tussle over seat-sharing as they are indulged in disputes on several seats.
"The atmosphere is in favour of MVA, we know this because we are going across Maharashtra. Look at Mahayuti. We are near to closing 268 seats as far as seat-sharing is concerned. But they are still in a fix. They have disputes on several seats. In our alliance, there is dispute on 1-2 seats but we will resolve it peacefully and cordially," Dubey said.
The Maharashtra Assembly elections are scheduled for November 20, with counting for all 288 constituencies set for November 23.
In the 2019 assembly elections, the BJP won 105 seats, the Shiv Sena 56, and the Congress 44. In 2014, the BJP secured 122 seats, the Shiv Sena 63, and the Congress 42. (ANI)
