Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, who was accompanied by Governor Chennamaneni Vidyasagar Rao Police Commissioner Data Padsalgikar and Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray, paid visits to the 26/11 police memorial site at the Mumbai Police Gymkhana. "Paid humble tributes and salutes to the brave heroes who sacrificed their lives to protect several lives on 26/11 in Mumbai," tweeted Fadnavis. "We remember and pay homage to all those who lost their lives in 26/11 terror attack in Mumbai and we resolve to fight Terror at every level," tweeted Congress general secretary Digvijaya Singh. Family members of the policemen, who lost their lives during the November 2008 attacks, were also present during the ceremony. Students of Mithibai College too organised a peace march to commemorate the memory of the martyrs of the 26/11 attack. On this day in 2008, 10 Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorists came to Mumbai via sea route from Pakistan and carried out series of coordinated shooting and bombing attacks across the city. The attacks lasted four days, killing 166 people and injuring over 300. Various events are today being organised in the business capital to pay tribute to the victims of 26/11.
