Bhopal, (Madhya Pradesh), [India], Mar 6 (ANI): Madhya Pradesh Cabinet Minister and Congress leader Govind Singh Kushwah on Wednesday defended fellow partyman Digvijaya Singh over his Pulwama terror remark.
“Whatever he (Digvijay Singh) speaks, it turns out to be true. BJP and (Narendra) Modi has got agitated because of his one tweet,” Govind Singh said.
Kushwah also attacked Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday and termed him as "king of lies" said that Modi remembers surgical Strikes only during elections.
“(Narendra) Modi is himself a king of lies. He remembers surgical strikes only during elections,” he claimed.
The Congress leader also attacked Modi for apparently calling Digvijay Singh ‘a Pakistani agent’.
“He is sitting on an honourable position and yet he is calling Digvijay a Pakistani agent,” the Madhya Pradesh Cabinet Minister said.
Further Kushwah further said that he is not hopeful of finding a solution to the Ram Temple through mediation.
“The Congress party will respect the decision of Supreme Court. BJP remembers Ram Temple only during elections. We will construct the Ram Temple if Congress comes to power,” he added.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday had made a veiled attack on Congress leader Digvijaya Singh for terming the Pulwama terror attack as an "accident" and slammed the "few people" within the country who refuse to believe that the IAF had carried out a damaging strike at a Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) camp in Balakot in Pakistan.
Modi's reaction came after Digvijaya Singh termed the dastardly Pulwama terror attack an “accident” and said that “doubt” expressed in some foreign media reports over the February 26 IAF air strike is putting a question mark on the credibility of the Indian government. (ANI)
