Ujjain (Madhya Pradesh) [India], May 11 (ANI): Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav held a door-to-door campaign in support of incumbent MP and BJP nominee from Ujjain parliamentary, Anil Firojiya in Ujjain district on Saturday.
CM Yadav campaigned in the Shanti Nagar area under the jurisdiction of Ujjain South Assembly constituency in the district on the last day of campaigning for the fourth phase of Lok Sabha elections in the state. He also distributed voting slips to residents on the occasion.
Ujjain South seat is CM Yadav's constituency from where he contested polls in the recently concluded state assembly elections.

Speaking to ANI, the CM said, "I am happy that every worker of Bharatiya Janata Party is campaigning and distributing voter slips to the public door-to-door in the final round of the campaign. Today is the last day of campaigning and in two days we will meet people by going door-to-door. I have started today and the party workers have planned the same in the remaining eight Lok Sabha seats in the state. I am satisfied that if we work together then surely we will succeed."
He further applauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi that there was a wave in favour of the PM in the state in the Lok Sabha elections 2024.
"There is a wave for PM Modi and Congress will be in a bad state," he added.

Earlier, the chief minister also attended a program of the Sikh community at Freeganj Durga Plaza in the district on Saturday morning and met the people from the Sikh community.

"Today I got the opportunity to meet people from the Sikh community from all over the state in their 'Abhinandan' programme. We will get the support from all people. I think the Sikh community will never forget what PM Modi has done so that they can now visit Nankana Sahib through Kartarpur Sahib (corridor). They have always shown love and I hope that it remains forever," CM Yadav told ANI.
Ujjain constituency will go to polls in the fourth phase and final phase of Lok Sabha elections in state on May 13 with seven other parliamentary seats which include Dhar, Dewas, Mandsaur, Ratlam, Indore, Khargone, and Khandwa.
Lok Sabha polls in Madhya Pradesh are underway in four phases. The first phase of voting ended on April 19, followed by the second phase on April 26 and the third phase on May 7.
The counting of votes will be held on June 4.
With 29 Lok Sabha constituencies, Madhya Pradesh ranks sixth among all states in terms of its representation in the Lower House. Of these, 10 seats are reserved for SC and ST candidates, while the remaining 19 are unreserved. (ANI)
