Patna (Bihar) [India], Mar 6 (ANI): Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Wednesday warned Director General of Police Gupteshwar Pandey that the more he appears in media, he will "soon have to leave the position".
While addressing a gathering here, Nitish said, "You (DGP) should know that one statement can make you famous but the more you will appear in media, chances are that you will have to leave soon."
"The media might be printing you on the first page today and your speech might be applauded by others. However, you will find that the same media will demolish you in the next 5 months."
Nitish further told Pandey that if he doesn't fulfill his duty on time, the same media will criticise him for his failures. "If you did not do what you are saying today then the same media will criticise you and your failures will be printed on the first page."
The Chief Minister also emphasised on the maintenance of law and order in the state. "If law and order is not maintained in the state, the government's image gets affected. It is the responsibility of the police to keep the law system in order."
